Judge Advice Panel

Thursday 16 April we held a special impromptu Judge Advice Panel. It was a fantastic chance to spend some time with a world-class panel of experienced judges, picking their brains about all the different aspects of entering competitions - curating your work, tuning it, choosing titles, thinking about how judges will approach your images... so many different aspects of how to go through the process and prepare your entries.

Free Critique Night

Critique Session

Join us on Tuesday 28th April for our rescheduled first Free Image Critique

We will be using submissions from the postponed session on 16 April. If you entered that critique session, at least one of your images will be shown and discussed.

From 7pm AEST, a spectacular panel of experienced photographers (drawn from the Aus Photo Prize international judge team) will lend their expertise to help you get your images competition-ready.

If you're working to get images ready for submission, and you'd like a little extra advice, this event is perfect! We won't discuss scores, but we will talk about steps that might help to make each image more effective. The images remain completely anonymous - we don't reveal photographer's names to the judges or to the audience.

Attendance is free and open to everyone. Whether you are submitting images for critique, or just want to watch and listen and learn, it's going to be a brilliant evening. This session will be available for 7 days only - entrants are submitting unfinished work, and we want to respect entrants and not have unfinished work available to view long-term.

Critique Session Full. Critique #2 opens 2 May
