The terms of use of this website include these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Competition Rules and any other terms and conditions appearing in or linked to this website. By using this website you agree to all these terms and conditions.

Competition

This photography competition is a contest of skill. The promoters are The Trustee for The Melbourne Headshot Trust Trading as Australian Photographic Prize ABN 73798720731 in conjunction with Living Rain Pty Ltd Trading as Australian Photography Competition ABN 32123848984 (us / our / we).

The total prize pool is valued at $10,000 AUD. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Prizes offered by sponsors are the responsibility of the sponsors to supply. We are not responsible for any issues with prizes including suitability of prizes, damaged or faulty prizes, or delays in supplying or failure to supply prizes.

International entrants are eligible for different prizes to Australian entrants. Australian entrants may be eligible for prizes provided they usually reside in Australia.

Winners will be announced on our website and through social media from 16 August 2026.

All monetary amounts unless labelled otherwise are in Australian Dollars.

These terms and conditions are subject to change.

Copyright of all images entered will remain the property of the entrant. By entering in the competition entrants grant us the right to use entered images for running the competition, marketing, promotion, education and other uses, including the right to adjust the image. The entrant owns all rights and takes full responsibility that the work submitted is original and does not infringe any third party’s copyright, moral rights, or other rights. The entrant will indemnify and keep indemnified any claim by a third party concerning their work.

Our decisions and decisions of our judges or other appointed parties concerning any aspect of this competition are final. No further discussion will be entered into. We may override or adjust scores or alter any part of the competition at our discretion. Also, we will interpret areas or issues not explicitly covered by these terms and conditions and other competition rules if and as they arise.

We request that entrants hold back on sending feedback about the awards or scores for one week after the results are announced to allow time for emotional processing and self-reflection.
